IT security and data protection company, Sophos has appointed Stuart Fisher as managing director for APAC, replacing Rob Forsyth, who will take the role of non-executive director.
Based in Singapore, Fisher will be reporting to senior vice-president of worldwide sales and field operations, Mike McGuinness.
Fisher will be responsible for all operations, which includes leading regional operations and driving business growth across APAC. He will lead regional sales, marketing, and support teams, and taking care of go-to-market strategies and deliver on revenue plan for the region.
His immediate goal for the role is redefining Sophos’ go-to-market strategy, which includes a ramp up in its partner ecosystem through heavy investments to ensure that distributors and the channel are enabled to fill the company mandate.
Fisher was previously APAC vice-president of sales for the company.
“For me, the change in role provides even greater opportunity to further escalate Sophos’ market dominance in our existing and newer emerging territories in the region,” Fisher said.
As non-executive director, Forsyth will be involved in strategic marketing and publicity initiatives through public relations, government, and industry engagements.
