Adobe Systems has appointed Steve Martin as its A/NZ head of channels.
He replaces former head of channels for the region, Craig McGregor.
Martin will be responsible for leading Adobe’s regional channel strategy, business development, partner relationship management and training initiatives.
He will report directly to Adobe A/NZ managing director, Paul Robson.
According to Martin, there are three main elements he intends to focus on in his role. They include:
- Increasing Adobe’s level of commitment on its existing channel partners by driving a deeper relationship with them and working alongside them to achieve common goals.
- Looking into partner recruitment by identifying a partner community interested in working with the company to take its technology and solutions into their customer base.
- Driving an increased partner focus across Adobe’s entire business and working with partners to find new customers and market opportunities across the A/NZ region.
“I’m looking for each one of our partners to achieve strong YoY revenue growth and I’m not looking to recruit new partners if all that does is move the existing revenue pie around,” he said.
The appointment follows the launch of Adobe’s revamped channel program, the Adobe Partner Connection program, which offers increased benefits, rewards and training for A/NZ resellers.

Martin most recently served as a consultant to Channel Dynamics, where he advised IT vendors on channel strategy and engagement.
Prior to that, he spent six years at Symantec as its director of SMB, distribution and renewals.
He has also held roles with other companies – including Veritas, Novell, WordPerfect and Canon Australia.
