ARN Awards kick off for 2012

Awards to be launched with the 2012 Judges Lunch at the Ivy restaurant in Sydney

The time has come again. The sixth incarnation of the ARN IT Industry Awards has been launched with the 2012 Judges Lunch at the Ivy restaurant in Sydney.

This year, ARN celebrates its 21st birthday at the Awards which for the first time will be a black tie event.

Once again, the venue is the Hilton Hotel Ballroom, Sydney; the date to lock away is September 19.

Despite the current economic caution, the channel remains strong, dynamic and optimistic. This will be evident again at the Awards when the industry applauds its peers, and recognises leading IT organisations and outstanding professionals for their excellent performance and work.

This year’s ARN awards will, also for the first time, recognise those companies that are going above and beyond to give back to the community.

The Corporate Citizenship reward goes to a company that is actively working with charities, undertaking philanthropic initiatives and using its resources and capabilities for the betterment of the underprivileged.

The Sustainability award recognises a company that works hard to minimise its customers, and its own, impact on the environment. From reducing power usage, to sustainable recycling practices, the Sustainability award will go to the company making real investments and progress in keeping the world healthy.

Finally, ARN will recognise an individual who has been fighting the good fight. The Channel Champion is an individual who has, outside of his or her daily working life, been heavily involved in charities, non-profits or personal philanthropy.

So put September 19 in your diary now. And, gentlemen, 'tuxs' to the fore. Ladies will, of course, be as glamorous as ever.

The 6th ARN IT Channel Industry Awards. Legendary.
