Business Process Excellence (BPE) vendor, Software AG, has promoted Stephen Keys to senior vice-president of Asia-Pacific and Japan.
Prior to this appointment, Keys was senior vice-president of global consulting services within this region.
He succeeds David Powell, who is relocating to the UK to take on a global role with Software AG.
According to the company, the promotion was made to strengthen its regional business and drive new growth initiatives around business process excellence in the region.
Keys’ overall responsibility is to overlook both Software AG’s sales and consulting services businesses across Asia-Pacific and Japan.
“It’s an exciting time to capitalise on our enhanced product portfolio in mobile application development, master data management, in-memory and Cloud enablement technology,” he said.
He joined Software AG in 2006 as sales director for the company’s Enterprise Transaction Systems (ETS) business division.
Keys will be based in Software AG’s regional headquarters in Sydney.
Software AG also recently announced the creation of two vertically focused sales divisions in Australia, to take advantage of the maturing business process management market with a specially trained salesforce.
The divisions will support Software AG’s expansion strategy, targeting government and commercial business.
