According to Eaton, the appointment forms a key element of its channel strategy to expand sales growth of its range of solutions within the SMB market.
Eaton already has in place a distribution agreement with Avnet, focused on the mid-to-large enterprise and public sector market.
Dicker Data will distribute the full range of Eaton Power Quality product and services including its BladeUPS technology, enclosures, enclosure power distribution units (ePDUs), Environmental Rack Monitoring, and VoIP software and connectivity products.
Eaton selected Dicker Data on the basis of its focus on the SMB market and both its expertise and range of IT support services.
“We reviewed several potential partners over the course of the past six months. The choice of Dicker Data was actually an easy decision,” Eaton A/NZ managing director, Richard Jenman, said.
Eaton will support Dicker Data with dedicated national account management for pre-sales and post-sales engineering, training, certification, marketing and technical support.
Dicker Data also recently announced a record net profit after tax (NPAT) result for any half-year period in the company’s history, reaching growth of a staggering 297.5 per cent to $3.7 million.
