Acer has released its latest Iconia Tab A200 tablet that aims to provide a hub of activity for people of all ages.
It features improved multi-tasking with the Acer Ring interface for setting easy-access apps from any screen.
It includes a Screenshot application which quickly captures web images, articles, Google Maps and even faces from video calls. The screenshot can be used in any app.
According to Acer product specialist, Daniel Goffredo, the tablet further enhances the Android Honeycomb user experience interface with the Acer Ring as it enables them to manage their favourite applications from the home screen.
The A200 is available in Titanium Gray or Metallic Red.
Its other features include: a 10.1-inch multi-touch screen, NVIDIA Tegra 2 Dual Core 1 GHz processor and gyrometer, a full-size USB port, a MicroSD slot, a 2 megapixel Web camera and Acer SocialJogger, which consolidates Facebook, Twitter and more.
“Another addition to our Android tablet range is the Acer Iconia Tab Starter Pack. The free Starter Pack provides Iconia Tab owners with instant access to it,” Goffredo said.
It will also be compatible in running the newest version of Google’s operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). From January 2012, the tablets will be loaded with Android 4.0 ICS and a free ICS upgrade to current A200 users will also be made available at the same time.
The Iconia Tab A200 is available from $349, exclusive to Harvey Norman.
