WatchGuard XTM OS gets certified by ICSA

Security vendor’s UTM appliances and next-generation firewalls acquire new certification

Security vendor, WatchGuard, has had its XTM (extensible threat management) OS-based Unified Threat Management (UTM) appliances and next-generation firewalls certified by ICSA (International Computer Security Association) Labs in the Network Firewalls category.

The certification spans WatchGuard’s mainstream line of XTM appliances, which includes the small business XTM 5 series all the way to the enterprise-class XTM 1050.

WatchGuard Asia Pacific channels and alliances vice president, Scott Robertson, sees the ICSA certification as a boon for the XTM line, as many businesses use it as a point of reference when evaluating and purchasing IT solutions.

“Having this new ICSA certification is a testament to WatchGuard’s engineering prowess and commitment to quality,” he said,

With 15 models to choose from, WatchGuard’s XTM line combines “defense-in-depth” threat protection, advanced networking features and granular management and reporting functions into a single device.
