APP OF THE DAY: SugarSync

documents can be edited direct on the BlackBerry with a document editor

SugarSync
Cost: Free | Developer: SugarSync, Inc. | Platform: BlackBerry | Version: 2.1.0 | 956 KB |

The days of keeping your files spread out over various storage media are coming to an end. SugarSync is one of the solutions that is helping to synchronise your files.

Already a popular tool on PCs and Macs, the SugarSync mobile app allows the user to access data on a computer straight from the BlackBerry.

SugarSync works much in the same way as Dropbox, in that you can remotely access any files, photos, and music that you have stored on the cloud server.

In addition to sharing files between contacts, documents can be edited direct on the BlackBerry with a document editor before it is synched with the SugarSync server.

SugarSync is a free service that comes with 5GB of free online storage, and additional storage is gained by sharing SugarSync with other people.

Pros: Get access to your files anyplace and anytime.

Cons: If you work with big files, 5GB of storage might not last you that long.

Verdict: SugarSync makes sharing and remotely accessing documents easy.
