For those that fancy enhancing the photos on their iPhones, PixelWorks is an app worth trying.
While it is not Adobe Photoshop, PixelWorks is pretty robust in features.
It has 12 filters – with more to come according to the developer – which can instantly add effects onto your photos.
You can select an existing photo or take one on the fly. The app also supports high-resolution photos so you can import photos from a digital camera.
There are 12 frames to choose from for those that want to be a bit fancy.
As for the brush, you can choose the brush size and type. Gradient mode is also supported.
The best thing about the app is there isn’t much lag when it comes to editing photos. That is, when you run a brush on the photo, there isn’t much of a delay for the line to show up.
Having said that, there is a tolerable delay when you load a photo into the app.
Pros: Decent filters included with updates promised, intuitive brush, can support high-definition photos
Cons: Takes a little bit of time to load standard iPhone photo into app so imagine the delay when you try to do that with a high-definition photo
Verdict: A useful app for a decent price.
