Ingram Micro has partnered with services specialist firm, Insentra, to provide a range of Symantec consulting and education services to Ingram Micro resellers.
Insentra provides specialist Symantec professional services to the channel. Those include pre-sales and implementation consulting services, and post-sales services such as auditing, health-checks, performance tuning and upgrades.
“The partnership between Insentra and Ingram Micro to deliver Symantec services to resellers is encouraging as one of our key channel strategies is to work with professional services partners like Insentra to extend our reach into the channel,” director, partners and alliances, Symantec, Pacific region, Jeff Arndt, said.
“Working together, Insentra and Ingram Micro will enable resellers to offer a broader, deeper range of Symantec solutions to our joint customers.”
Insentra managing director, Ronnie Altit said the services Insentra provided were ideally suited to offer resellers through the partnership with Ingram Micro.
“It’s a really good match. We only work with the channel so we’re not competing with Ingram Micro’s resellers in anyway,” Altit said. “Instead we enable them to offer highly specialised Symantec services to their customers without having to carry the overheads of having that expertise on staff.
“This means they can complement and expand their existing Symantec business by offering extended services such as health-checks, audits and other services easily. Additionally, we can help them design and deliver more complex, enterprise-grade, Symantec-based solutions to their customers that they otherwise might not be able to offer.”
“This partnership enables us to reach out to the wider pool of Ingram Micro resellers that do not currently offer more advanced Symantec services and gives them the option to expand their current offerings,” he said.
Ingram Micro Services Group business unit manager, Darren Elsby, said Insentra’s depth of Symantec expertise was a key attribute he was drawn to when he first started discussing a distribution partnership with Insentra.
“Insentra is the highest accredited Symantec partner in Asia, and one of the top partners globally, so we are extremely confident they can provide the quality of services that our resellers are looking for to complement their existing Symantec offerings,” he said.
“We’ve identified some core services our reseller partners will be very keen to take advantage of and packaged them up as ‘products’ that they can purchase from us easily – with SKUs available online through Techlink. As we progress, we’ll continue to extend the range of services we provide over time. Project based services are also available in the situation where the packaged offerings are not suitable.”
