Alfresco adds 13 new customers and appoints three new partners

Company also enhances partner program

Open platform for social content management, Alfresco, is investing in additional headcount and increasing marketing spend in A/NZ to further accelerate growth.

Within the last 12 months, Alfresco has added 13 new customers, appointed three new partners, secured significant projects with its existing customer base in A/NZ, expanded to a team of five and moved to new premises in North Ryde.

The company wants to add 10-15 larger systems integrators or multi-national companies to cover the A/NZ market, especially in Western Australia, and, essentially, one good partner in each capital city.

Alfresco A/NZ has also recently enhanced its partner certification program, due to launch by the end of 2011.

It intends to enrol a moderate number of partners that can sell and add value to customers. They should have solid systems integration skills, knowledge management, content management and social collaboration technologies.

Alfresco A/NZ will also invest in providing partners with support and training, joint-marketing, pre-sales support, technical support and sales engagement opportunities.

It will soon launch a broader partner recruitment program in A/NZ, which will directly reach potential partners using traditional marketing techniques.

“Working with business partners is still our primary route to market and recruiting new partners to provide geographic coverage and address specific vertical requirements in A/NZ is a big focus,” Alfresco Asia-Pacific sales director, Barry Costin, said.

Further details on the changes in the partner program and the new recruitment program will be provided closer to its launch date.

Alfresco also recently released the Alfresco Mobile iPad and iPhone applications.

Alfresco Mobile free iOS applications extend the Alfresco experience to iOS devices and allow corporate users direct access to critical business content on-the-go.

Alfresco Mobileworks connect across the entire Alfresco product portfolio including the latest versions of Alfresco team, enterprise and community.

The company recently announced the release of Alfresco Community 4, set for early 2012.

Alfresco Enterprise 4 presents new user features and user interface enhancements, such as advanced publishing capabilities for managing content distribution to multiple social networking channels.

Alfresco also acquired SambaStream, an online services and applications company, with a plan to launch a new Alfresco Cloud offering next year.

In the meantime, Alfresco continues to support deployment on services such as Amazon EC2 and RackSpace, providing customers with options for hosted deployment, in addition to the on-premises approach.
