DiData gains Microsoft Cloud Accelerate Partner status

Less than one per cent of Microsoft partners maintain this status globally

Dimension Data has achieved Microsoft Cloud Accelerate Partner status. Less than one per cent of Microsoft partners maintain this status globally.

Launched in 2010, The Microsoft Cloud Accelerate Program aims to support top partners committed to delivering the next generation of cloud services to customers.

To achieve this status, Dimension Data demonstrated its service delivery capabilities and a proven track record of delivering cloud projects globally.

Cloud Accelerate Partners gain access to relevant online services, Microsoft promotion of cloud capabilities and access to higher levels of pre-sales training and technical support.

Dimension Data group general manager of Microsoft solutions, Peter Menadue, said gaining the status sat well with Dimension Data’s strategy on providing clients with a step-by-step approach in cloud computing.

During the past few years, Dimension Data has been building Cloud-related skills and capabilities in the areas of virtualisation, datacentre and storage, managed services and hosting, as well as IT outsourcing.

In June this year, it acquired US-based Cloud enterprise provider, OpSource and also created a centralised Cloud Solutions business unit.
