Perth-ISP, iiNet, is now selling mobile handsets to SMB customers.
It launched its sim card-only mobile voice service business 10 months ago. The plans started from $10 per month with no lock-in contract for residential and business customers.
Business customers can now take out handsets bundled in with iiNet’s mobile plans. iiNet has no plans to release this offer to residential customers just yet.
Currently, the ISP has three Android phones on offer: Alcatel 0T990, Samsung Galaxy S and the Samsung Galaxy S II. The handsets cost $8, $20 and $30 per month, respectively, when paired with specific iiNet’s sim card-only plans on a 24-month contract.
Plans start from $14.95 per month with $225 included value and 200MB data allowance.
iiNet is looking to expand its mobile handset line-up in the future.
“We chose to offer Android phones first because they’re well known as a flexible platform for future innovation,” iiNet business CEO, Greg Bader, said in a statement.
“However, we understand there’s a demand to support a broader range of devices and we will consider extending our offerings soon.”
Handsets can also be purchased outright.
