Telecommunications wholesaler, reseller and franchisor, Telcoinabox, has set a company-wide one year goal to help support ten families through their cancer journey by donating proceeds from their activities to Redkite.
Redkite is a national charity that supports children and young people with cancer and their families through the entire cancer journey.
Telcoinabox CEO, Paul Line, said that the company is pulling out all the stops to meet this goal.
“Since we launched the initiative we have raised money by running in the City to Surf, sold off old office equipment and given staff the option to sacrifice a portion of their salary to Redkite,” he said.
In less than two months, Telcoinabox has already raised enough money to help Redkite support four families, with access to essential services over a one year period.
According to Line, the company aims to rally all staff behind the cause in the hope to raise up to $25,000.
“There’s a lot of momentum behind the cause. Each time we raise $2,500 we add the tally to our dedicated Redkite wall so everyone in the company can see what our efforts have tangibly achieved,” Line added.
Over the next few months, fundraising events include: the Footy Finals staff bakeoff, attending the Redkite Corporate Quiz in Sydney, and taking part in Redkite’s ‘Sea 2 Summit Challenge’ cycling event, riding 248 kilometres from Merimbula to Mt Kosciuszko.
Telcoinabox’s donations will go towards Redkite’s Cancer Journey Program which aims to provide Redkite’s entire suite of essential and practical services including hospital-based support, financial assistance, education assistance and community-based support to families in need.
