Hosting and cloud services enablement company, Parallels, has acknowledged leading service providers who have demonstrated success in delivering Cloud services powered by Parallels at its Parallels Asia-Pacific Summit 2011.
The winners were announced at the company’s first Asia-Pacific Partner Awards at the Summit, held from September 23-25 at the Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa Resort in Singapore.
The awards comprised six categories that reflect service provider success stories in the global market and product areas of Parallels.
Award winners for 2011 were: KDDI Corporation - New Partner of the Year; RIDE - Excellence in Innovation award; Shinjiru - Excellence in Parallels Plesk Panel award; iiNet - Excellence in Parallels Automation (Australia); Net Logistics - Excellence in Virtualised Infrastructure and Virtualisation (Australia); and UCVHost - Emerging Region Partner of the Year.
Parallels vice-president of service provider marketing and alliances, John Zanni, said the six partners had achieved both significant results for the past year and also positioned themselves well for the future by increasing their own customers’ sales, revenue and profitability.
“Cloud services are such a rapidly growing opportunity with massive potential for serving Asia-Pacific’s SMBs that it’s important for the industry to acknowledge those service providers leading the way,” he said.
In conjunction with the awards and its Asia-Pacific Summit, Parallels also released the results of its proprietary research entitled Parallels SMB Cloud Insights. It focuses on the most profitable services and markets in Asia-Pacific and ways the industry can benefit by delivering Cloud services to SMB customers in the region.
