Business intelligence (BI) software vendor, QlikTech, has integrated Chatter Connect into its QlikView Business Discovery platform to enable more robust collaborative decision making.
By leveraging the social capabilities of Salesforce Chatter, users in workgroups and teams are able to collaborate and share information by embedding Chatter feeds and comments into QlikView apps and dashboards.
“The exciting aspect of this integration from our perspective is that it’s a very strong extension of the capabilities within a QlikView application itself, in terms of taking advantage of the capabilities of a true, social networking collaboration platform,” QlikTech Australia and New Zealand regional director, Mark Sands, said.
“It’s a very obvious example of the direction that we’ve been travelling some time in positioning social collaboration as a key part of the QlikView Business Discovery platform.”
In addition to important updates being pushed to QlikView users so they can quickly respond to questions and participate in conversations, Chatter also helps in building context around data and creating a record of the steps leading to a decision.
QlikView recently expanded its QlikView software to support Apple's iPad platform.
