Looking to expand its market share, Microsoft has introduced the viewer component of its Visio software as a free Web download. Visio Viewer allows users to view documents made with its diagramming software using a Web browser and Microsoft hopes its free download will increase the number of people using the application. Microsoft introduced its Visio software to Australia in June last year as a standard version, which retails for $426, and a professional version, which retails for $1072. The software is targeted at business professionals through to the high-end enterprise and engineering market.
The free download is available from www.microsoft.com/australia/office/visio.
