International analyst, Analysys Mason, will soon roll out a new Asia–Pacific regional research programme that will deliver in-depth analysis of the challenges and opportunities surrounding the region’s telecommunications market.
The new program will cover key approaches to technology choices, service design, pricing and bundling and the growth of new applications for media and payment services in developing and developed markets.
It also analyses and predicts how key service and technology trends will play out in the region and identifies examples of telecommunications business best practice most relevant in the Asian telecoms environment.
By covering these key approaches, the company aims to help service providers, vendors, regulators and investors within and outside the region to increase growth opportunities.
According to the company, the Asia–Pacific region has a dynamic telecommunications market, presenting a varied set of market conditions, competitive environments and consumer preferences for market players.
Analysys Mason lead analyst for the programme, Alexandra Rehak, said, “The emerging Asian markets of China, India and South-East Asia are adding more telecoms services subscribers each year than any other market in the world, but service providers face significant challenges in keeping up with demand while still managing to maintain ARPU and churn at acceptable levels.
More-mature markets, such as Japan, Singapore and South Korea, continue to be leaders in cutting-edge consumer services delivered via high-speed mobile and fixed broadband networks.”
