Vocus posts positive results

Recent acquisitions place the company in a position for future growth

Telecommunications provider, Vocus Communications (ASX:VOC), has posted positive financial results since listing on the ASX a year ago.

Revenue increased 77 per cent to $30.98 million and profit before tax boosted 80 per cent to $10.22 million for the year ending June 30.

This is in comparison to FY10, which saw the company achieve $17.48 million in revenue and profit before tax totalling $5.69 million.

Vocus CEO, James Spenceley, said recently acquired businesses and products put the company in a position for future growth.

During the financial year, Vocus acquired E3 Network’s datacentres in Sydney and Melbourne; PerthIX datacentre located in the Perth CBD and Digital River’s fibre optic network.

Vocus was trading at $2.01 at the time of publication.
