Lan 1 has added some networking grunt to its largely storage-orientated product line up, signing with D-Link as a national distributor.
D-Link joins Adaptec, Compex, Fujitsu, OTG, Pioneer Electronics and Quantum on Lan 1's books, and under the terms of the agreement Lan 1 will distribute the full range of D-Link's corporate products. This includes the vendor's network adapters, switches, hubs, routers, print servers, wireless, gigabit and ADSL offerings.
According to a statement released by D-Link, the vendor is looking to leverage Lan 1's presence in "non-traditional" market segments, its product replacement service and technical assistance programs to bolster sales.
Lan 1 on the other hand touted the ability to supply, support and configure both storage and networking products as a key factor in the decision.
