LinkedIn has become more or less the defacto social network for professionals, with the increased focus on networking and sharing your work history with your coworkers, business partners, and friends appealing to many.
The LinkedIn app has already been out for some time for mobile devices such as iPhone and Android, but the simple interface and less-than-intuitive user experience made the app less practical than it could have been.
The good news is that most of the past issues with the LinkedIn app have been rectified in the new 4.0 version of the software.
No mere update, version 4.0 brings with it a completely redesigned interface that improves usability and looks good in the process.
Access to your update feed, profile, inbox and your networks is accessible from the main menu screen, and the stylish new design of the interface gives the app a very polished and professional look.
Pros: Completely overhauled interface has resulted in a user friendly and visually pleasing LinkedIn experience.
Cons: Users already familiar with the previous interface might need some time to get used to the new one.
Verdict: If you have been avoid the LinkedIn app in the past, the improved usability of version 4.0 might convince you to give it a try.
