Panasonic Australia has joined forces with Pinnacle Systems to offer an all-in-one retail package for consumers to create DVD movies on their PC.
The bundle combines Panasonic's LF-D311S DVD-RAM/R drive with Pinnacle's Studio 7 SE video-editing software and Pinnacle Express for DVD chapter creation. The kit also contains IEEE 1394 interface card, Cyberlink Power DVD software with VR support, Veritas PrimoDVD data-burning software, IDE cable, firewire cable, drive mounting screws, a 4.7GB DVD-R disc and a 4.7GB DVD-RAM disc, as well as region-coding software and diagnostic tools and drivers. Separately the items can cost up to $2000, but the set carries a retail price of $1499.
"This bundle encompasses the whole chain of DVD movie creation," said Pinnacle Systems' sales and marketing manager, Nicolas Jouan.
