Leading distributor, Ingram Micro, has inked an agreement with TouchIT Technologies to distribute its range of interactive technologies in Australia.
They include the TouchIT Board interactive whiteboard, and the TouchIT LCD – an interactive LCD panel.
Ingram Micro’s Business Manager Vantex - Pro AV & IP Surveillance, Andrew Upshon, said TouchIT Technologies products were highly complementary to other products that Ingram Micro distributed, such as projectors.
He saw a big opportunity for the products in the educational and corporate markets.
“These products are ideally suited to the needs of corporate boardrooms and educational institutions. But because traditionally high-end AV integrators have sold these types of products their availability to the wider market has been limited. Now we’re able to make them much more broadly available through our reseller channel we expect they will be welcomed enthusiastically by end-users,” Upshon said.
Ingram Micro’s Director Vantex and Vendor Operations, Jenny Southon, said partnering with TouchIT Technologies in the Australian market made absolute sense for both parties.
“This is an exciting new category of product for resellers selling into corporate and education markets, and one which offers our resellers a whole new revenue opportunity.
“The depth and breadth of our reseller partnerships and our ability to support resellers with training and education means we’re perfectly placed to take what has historically been a relatively niche market, and work closely with the team at TouchIT Technologies to bring these products to the mainstream market,”
