The HP R/T3000 G2 Uninterruptible Power System (UPS) supports multiple servers and storage solutions to protect equipment and information.
It provides up to 3300VA/3000 watts into a new, space saving convertible 2U design – enabling it to be used as a 2U rack mountable UPS or as a standalone tower UPS. The proven Digital Signal Processor technology provides power protection in an energy efficient design that reduces heat to cut cooling costs.
The HP R/T3000 G2 UPS includes a Rack-to-Tower Conversion Kit for non rack applications outside the datacentre. In this configuration, the HP R/T3000 G2 UPS can provide protection to multiple tower servers and tower Blade Enclosures, such as the HP BladeSystem c3000 Enclosure.
It also incorporates HP Enhanced Battery Management to double battery service life, optimise battery recharge time and provide advance notice of pending battery failure. With Enhanced Battery Management, HP claims organisations have a lower total cost of ownership and receive protection for their critical equipment. Extended Runtime Modules (ERM) are available to increase battery run time during a power outage. ERMs can be used in both rack mount and tower configuration.
Resellers can offer clients an integrated single-brand solution where all technology works together. They are able to position the solution as a risk manager that protects sensitive electronics from hazards such as power-line transients, ensuring customers’ business continuity. Resellers can also provide their clients long-term savings through the solution’s power efficiency and heat reduction.
With power efficiency of up to 95 per cent and a three-year warranty, resellers are able to extend sales opportunities for the HP R/T3000 G2 UPS range outside of datacentres – as far as music studios and research labs.
In the case of extended power loss, the HP R/T3000 G2 UPS can be programmed to close applications and shut down the HP server. Resellers can add a single Care Pack to extend support across the entire sale of server and ccessories.
