Unified IP business communications solution provider, Interactive Intelligence, has appointed Michael Stelzer as its Australia territory manager.
In the role, he will be responsible for new business development and developing the company’s local partner channel.
Stelzer will be based in the Sydney office and report directly to Interactive Intelligence A/NZ and Pacific managing director, Brendan Maree.
Prior to joining Interactive Intelligence, he served as Premier Technologies general manager of sales and marketing for two years, where he lead a team of contact centre professionals in sales, business consulting and solutions architecture.
He was formerly Aspect Software managing director A/NZ.
For more than two years within the company, he was in charge of developing and executing the company’s business strategy including sales, channel management, professional sales and marketing.
He worked for eight years with Genesys Labs as Business Development Manager with responsibility for establishing the brand, developing the company’s local reseller channel and signing customers to the company’s software platform.
Stelzer was also A/NZ country manager at natural language speech recognition specialist company, TuVox, and held various sales roles with Point Information Systems, Astea International and Fuji Xerox.
He intends to put his more than 15 years’ experience in contact centre software infrastructure into his new role.

Interactive Intelligence most recently appointed Meegoda as A/NZ manager as well.
