System integrator, Dimension Data has promoted its Australian CEO, Steve Nola, to head up its newly-formed global Cloud Solutions business unit.
Nola has been at the helm for more than 10 years and will continue to retain executive oversight in the Australian region. Rodd Cunico will step into the CEO Australia role. He was previously its southern region manager for the past decade.
“Steve has been nominated to accelerate the Group’s cloud strategy based on his strong 22-year track record with Dimension Data as an executive and leader with proven execution skills and ability to drive value,” Dimension Data Group CEO, Brett Dawson, said.
Under Nola’s leadership, the Australian business has grown from revenues of $US365 million in 2002 to more than $US1 billion, Dawson said.
“Steve has also successfully transformed the Australian business from a reseller into an IT outsourcing and managed services focused business,” he said.
“His experience with cloud architecture, telecommunications, services and IT outsourcing stands him good stead to establish and grow DiData’s global Cloud Solution business.”
Nola said it was time to place greater focus on the fast-developing cloud market and significantly increase its offerings and activities.
This comes on the back of Dimension Data's acquisition of cloud company, OpSource, last month.
