iiNet Labs keen to tackle global market

With its first export contract in the bag, iiNet's consumer products division is eager to expand its reach outside of Australia.

iiNet Labs has signed its first export contract and is keen to sniff out new opportunities to take its products abroad.

iiNet Labs is the consumer products development division of Perth-based ISP, iiNet, charged with creating broadband related products.

The iiNet BoB2, from the company’s modem and home phone convergence range, has been adapted to the New Zealand market and will be sold through local telco, Orcon.

“Orcon is the first export contract for us and we look forward to exploring more opportunities of this kind,” iiNet Labs CEO, Steve Harley, said in a statement. “The advantage we have as an ISP is we know exactly what the product should do and how it should perform.”

In March, iiNet technical sales manager, Simon Watts, flagged plans to release an IP security solution which is due to be released within the year.
