Wireless LAN vendor, Aerohive Networks, has signed up Sektor Distributors to be its key distribution partner in Australia.
The partnership came about following Aerohive’s recent entry into the Australian market, with Aerohive Australia and New Zealand country manager, Peter Davison, and sales engineer, Tim Bates, appointed to grow the local business.
“The arrangement with Sektor gives us a foothold in Australia and grants us access to a diverse portfolio focused on the logistics and warehousing retail markets,” Davison said.
“So we’re letting Sektor broaden that area of the market for us with their internal and external sales people, while myself and Tim are looking at education, enterprise and healthcare.”
Although Aerohive has just entered the Australian market and expects to start out slow, the vendor expects to grow its revenue to $2-3 million dollars annually within the next 12 to 18 months.
As the company continues to grow, Aerohive aims to increase its revenue by 40 per cent per quarter.
Aerohive will soon start a recruitment program to acquire partners to expand its reseller network in Australia, with numerous incentives already on offer to those interested in joining.
“Through the partner program we’re offering certified training split into the three levels of platinum, gold and silver,” Davison said.
“For the initial six months we’re offering everyone gold partnerships without qualification, but after the initial six months we’ll slowly start enforcing the revenue and training procedures that we have.”
Earlier in the year, Aerohive added wired connectivity to their Wi-Fi offerings to enable cloud-based networking for enterprise customers.
