Disaster recovery and data protection solutions provider, Acronis, has entered a partnership deal with Manly United Football Club.
As part of the deal, the Acronis logo will be emblazoned on the front of the shirts of the senior men’s squad for the remainder of the 2011 NSW Premier League season.
In turn, Acronis will be sponsoring a number of activities to support the team’s progress to the end of the year.
“This is the first year of what we trust will be a successful long term relationship between Acronis and Manly United," Acronis Pacific region general manager, Karl Sice, said.
“As thousands of players and families across Sydney are now so committed to the ‘round ball’ game, we see this new sponsorship as a valuable vehicle for raising awareness of the data protection issue.”
Manly United Football Club also sees the partnership as a mutual benefit for both the IT company and football fans.
"Karl's passion for Acronis and football on the northern beaches will certainly be a major asset not only to the club, but to the entire footballing community,” club general manager, Jeremy Toivonen, said.
Acronis has been involved in several large-scale investments since Sice became the new Pacific general manager of Acronis at the beginning of the year, such as recently launching a new global channel partner program to strengthen the IT capabilities and skills of businesses.
