Business application software provider, Infor, has reported a 28 per cent growth in licenses in the fourth quarter ending May 31 off the back of strong inroads into the enterprise applications market.
More than 650 new customers adopted Infor products such as Infor ION and Infor Workspace in the fourth quarter of 2011, generating total license revenue of $130.1 million and total revenue of $509.8 million, 28 and 12 per cent higher, respectively, on the same quarter last year.
“Infor's recently developed ION integration platform is generating excitement and momentum with our customers,” Infor field operations executive vice-president, Stephan Scholl, said.
“Our slate of innovative new product and technology releases, combined with our industry-focused approach, is truly separating us from our competitors.”
Infor recorded the biggest annual growth in the Public Sector of 125 pe rcent, followed by 84 per cent in Business Intelligence and Performance Management, 35 per cent in Enterprise Resource Planning and 33 per cent in Distribution.
This is the second consecutive quarter that Infor has experienced strong license growth, with the momentum expected to continue into the next quarter.
In addition to Infor ION gaining share in the enterprise applications market, Infor’s cloud-based applications such as ERP SyteLine and Infor EAM also contributed to the strong growth in the quarter. More than 500,000 users already run an Infor-based cloud environment.
To keep up with this growth, Infor hopes to bolster its work force with an additional 400 software engineers by the end of the year.
