Kingmax breaks DDR-I maximum limit

Kingmax is claiming the fastest memory module for the soon-to-be-released DDR400 motherboards with the introduction of its DDR400 TinyBGA module. The product has been in mass production since last month and can be used for over-clocking or upgrading DDR333 platforms since it is backward-compatible with the DDR266 and DDR333 technologies. The DDR400 module uses Kingmax's TinyBGA packing mechanism, which is 45.6 per cent less in volume than thin small outline packaging (TSOP) and offers higher volumes and transfer rates, according to the manufacturer. The 256MB capacity module is available now and carries a retail price of $220.
