Enterprise communications vendor, Aastra, has released a new channel partner program.
The new program initiative will enable the vendor to focus on qualifying and certifying existing channel partners as well as new ones to the fold.
The program consists of four levels including Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. On top of providing training and product certification, it also supplies marketing and sales benefits such as different discount levels, dedicated channel manager, access to marketing information, leads, introductory sales training and availability to demo equipment.
“We are dealing with a new wave of products dedicated to SMB and enterprise markets and need to get our partners involved to benefit from the new technology,” Aastra A/NZ director of sales and marketing, Tony Warhurst, said. “Aastra needs to be more involved in the channel market education and the creation of sales opportunities.
“To help our channel partners we also need to be involved in qualifying activity, implementing process and technical support with their customers.”
The new channel strategy will focus on building a long term relationship with all resellers, and get them more involved in company’s goals and strategy.
In March the vendor restructured its local team, placing a stronger emphasis on its channel play.
