NSC Group’s Breeze solution simplifies business infrastructure ownership

Pay-as-you-go arrangement designed to cut complexity and overheads

Integrator,NSC Group, has launched its Breeze outsourcing model that is designed to provide IP telephony and Unified Communication (UC) in a single, convenient, fully-managed package.

The big attraction of Breeze is that it is the first of its kind Communications-as-a-Service (CaaS) offering that allows businesses to add telecommunications capabilities on a per user basis without the need to own any hardware or software licenses.

“Breeze has been 18 months of hard work for us and we’re very excited about it,” NSC managing director, Craig Neil, said.

“The package bundles in everything NSC offers in its manage service business, such as all the maintenance, upgrades and changes being fully managed to ensure that our clients don’t need to think about having that type of capability in their organisation. We take care of that completely.”

In addition to being a CaaS solution, Breeze is also unique due to the fact that it has no finance company associated with the deal, with the deals done directly with NSC with no third party financing.

Not only has this helped to drop the price of the package significantly, as the hardware is supplied by commercial, closed-source VoIP provider ShoreTel and NSC wraps its services around it, customers now have a choice of carriage as they are no longer locked in to a fixed deal.

“Carriages are radically coming down and we think that locking people into carriage for three or five year terms is too long,” Neil said.

NSC’s collaboration with ShoreTel has also enabled Breeze to stand out from other competing offerings on the market by avoiding the “one flavour fits all” approach and making Breeze a personal, customised product that takes advantage of a fully managed model.

“What we’ve done with Breeze is eliminate some of the ambiguity around UC and bring to the customer a service that takes advantage of the applications that come with UC,” ShoreTel Asia Pacific managing director, Vasili Triant, said.

“Every customer is different when it comes to unified communications, and the difference with Breeze is that every customer can have their own unique implementation of UC.”

Breeze is initially targeted at the mid-market space of about 50 users and upwards to 1000.

The only upfront fee is a “transition fee” to deploy the new system and remove any existing one, with the client then paying a monthly fee per user per month for a term of 36 or 60 months.
