TransACT rebrands subsidiary

The regional telco provider is stamping its own name onto its Victoria-based subsidiary, Neighbourhood Cable

Regional telco provider, TransACT, is stamping its own name onto its Victoria-based subsidiary, Neighbourhood Cable.

TransACT bought Neighbourhood Cable in 2008. It will now be known as TransACT.

The rebrand will affect Geelong, Ballarat and Mildura and, according to the parent company, was “conducted in close consultation with customers” to ensure there will be no negative impact to existing services.

TransACT recently launched its DOC SIS 3 fibre network in the three towns.

“We’re excited about our name change because it reflects the complete range of communications services we provide to our Victorian customers,” TransACT CEO, Ivan Slavich, said in a statement.

The company services more than 50 federal and state government agencies and 5000 SMBs along with 150,000 residential subscribers.
