Acronis launches new channel partner program worldwide

Initiative to assist partners in staying up-to-date with evolving technology

Disaster recovery and data protection solutions provider, Acronis, has launched a new global channel partner program to boost the IT capabilities and skills of businesses.

The Acronis Partner Program is aimed at helping partners keep pace with changes made to business through virtualisation and the cloud,

It is designed to significantly enhance partner sales initiatives and profitability by offering them improved sales and technical support, training, marketing capabilities and a wide range of incentives based on four levels of partnerships.

“Partners can benefit from more attractive discounts, enhanced training, improved technical support, a wide array of marketing tools, demand generation activities and much more,” Acronis General Manager, Pacific, said Karl Sice, said.

“Each level that partners reach entitles them to a greater scope of benefits, such as bigger discounts, more technical support, more NFR software licenses, lead generations and marketing support.”

The new initiative builds upon a local partner program that Acronis has been running since February 2009 and aims to be a true global progression-based program by providing a much clearer structure to the partnership and a vast array of free and unlimited support tools, such as special pricing and technical training.

Channel partners are expected to experience several benefits across the sales, marketing and technical support categories by participating in the program through additional incentives such as free NFR software, partner kits, and sales leads from Acronis for Platinum-qualified partners.

“For an entry level Acronis Authorised Partner, there are no minimum sales requirements either,” Sice said.

“Should partners progress to higher levels within the Program, we’ll ask them to achieve various certification levels and revenue thresholds.”

Partners such as value-added resellers, solution and service providers and the system integrators who offer backup and recovery, data protection, infrastructure, virtualisation, security, system management or software solutions can join the new program free of charge.

2011 is already shaping up to be a busy year for Acronis, with Acronis Backup and Recovery 11, the first affordable integrated solution for disaster recovery and data protection for SMBs, released in May and shipped in June, with more Acronis solutions to be released in the second half of the year.
