Local Platform-as-a-Service provider, BlinkMobile, will be providing a mobile interactive experience to attendees at the upcoming EMC Inform events in Sydney and Melbourne.
Attendees utilising mobile devices (phone, tablet, etc) with a Web browser will be able to directly convert it into an interactive conference engagement gizmo for participatory activities – including ad hoc polling, session evaluation and requests for additional product information.
Delegates will also be provided with all information in relation to the conference program, various streams, speaker biographies, exhibitor participation and specific venues on their mobile devices.
They can further personalise their mobile content by ‘starring’ sessions of interest in advance.
Blink Mobile will enable EMC with the facility to update any of the event’s Web-based information in real time.
EMC marketing director for A/NZ, Wendy Reid, said, “The Blink mobile application will enable EMC, our partners and event sponsors to interact more effectively with Inform attendees, sharing real time information and receiving instant feedback.”
According to Blink Mobile director, Darren Besgrove, using the mobile platform for such experiences narrows the gap in consumer engagement.
“Mobility now takes the conference experience into a new space with interactive, real-time conversations and instant feedback for post-event follow-up,” he said.
EMC Inform 2011 will be held in Melbourne on June 7 and in Sydney on June 9.
