Applaud launches new IT support offering in the cloud

New offerings include IT service desk function, infrastructure and IT management toolsets

IT services firm, Applaud, has introduced a swathe of IT support solutions hosted in the cloud.

Applaud has improved on its managed desktop-as-a-service and a managed server-as-a-service offerings.

The cloud products were initially launched at the beginning of the year to the company’s SMB clients.

The new offerings now include a cloud-based IT service desk function, infrastructure and associated server management toolsets based on BMC remedy software which will only be available to Applaud’s managed services client-based at this stage.

Associated support for network traffic reporting, storage management and IT security are also part of the package.

“We want our managed services customers to have a true enterprise highly IT aligned service management toolset in their environment which can integrate with their internal resolve groups,”Applaud managing director, Ricci Danieletto, said.

“This gives us and them a higher level of intimacy and enables customers to integrate much more neatly into our organisation which is their managed services provider of choice.”

The new services work on a subscription-based pay-as-you-go model.

According to Applaud, the new services can cut cost in terms of integration, build and configuration of IT cloud services.

The company has plans to introduce a number of new toolsets to extend self-service functions for customers.
