Westbourne becomes Tower partner

Tower Software has appointed a new member to its partner program, Australian service provider and systems integrator the Westbourne Group, which will integrate the vendor's flagship product, TRIM.

Under the strategic alliance, Westbourne will provide services including solutions and system integration, consulting, outsourcing and support to Tower's TRIM customers.

TRIM, an off-the-shelf business management software solution, is used widely for information management by the likes of the National Archives of Australia and the US Navy.

A lot of our work will be with existing TRIM customers, said Rohan Firminger, business development manager of the Westbourne Group. "We'll go in, look at the architecture, and then either write applications or integrate it into new solutions to utilise the full functionality of the product. We'll also do the configuration for new sites, for companies with between 100-500 seats," he said.

ACT-based Westbourne joins the likes of Solution 6 and IBM arm Microhelp as TRIM integrators. Westbourne will specifically service medium-size corporates alongside Tower, which will also provide support from within its ranks.

Westbourne's appointment as Tower business partner did not displace any of Tower's existing business partners, according to Firminger. "This is an emerging market. TRIM has been so successful and it has expanded here so fast that the other channel partners couldn't keep up," he said.

Westbourne's vast experience in deploying systems in a wide range of environments and its particular history in the workflow and document-management arena were key to its appointment to the partner program, according to a statement from Tower Software.

Firminger declined to comment on how much revenue the alliance will generate for his company, however the alliance would bring positive results to both Westbourne and Tower's revenue growth he mused.
