Local Government Online (LGOnline) in Queensland uses Interwoven TeamSite to Power State-wide Information Management Service

125 Local Governments throughout Queensland Can Have Access to Industry’s Most Powerful Enterprise Content Management Solution

Sydney, Australia, 31 May, 2004 - Interwoven Inc. (Nasdaq: IWOV), provider of the world's next-generation enterprise content management (ECM) platform, today announced that its TeamSite content management software has been chosen by the Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ) to power the leading Internet-based knowledge and information service, Local Government Online (LGOnline), which will be launched at the Civic Leaders Summit in Brisbane, Australia this week.

Acting LGAQ President Councillor Paul Bell says LGOnline is a one-stop access for state and local government information, allowing staff to be more time efficient, while reducing the costs of local development. Integrating procurement, billing, content management, Website development and many other services, LGOnline even includes online self-assessment software, enabling staff members to identify their own training needs.

LGAQ claims it has developed a suite of otherwise unavailable resources and services for local government employees, which includes exclusive access to the State Government intranet, GovNet.

Interwoven TeamSite Content Server software was selected from several tendered offers after extensive testing by LGAQ and a number of local councils. TeamSite extends access to all business users either at LGAQ headquarters or at any of the 125 local councils who could sign up for access to LGOnline.

“The LGAQ is delighted with the initial performance of TeamSite. It has proven to offer powerful scalability and ease of use, putting the power of a dedicated enterprise-class content management into the hands of even the smallest local council,” Councillor Bell says. “TeamSite is also widely used by most Queensland Government departments ensuring familiarity, compatibility and trust across a huge local user base,” he said.

LGOnline is free for all Queensland Councils on a trial basis until June 30, 2004 when $6 million funding from the Australian Government through the Networking the Nation Program of the Department of Communications, Information Technology and the Arts ceases, after which it will only be available to those councils who have subscribed, Councillor Bell says.

“This revolutionary initiative has received an overwhelming response from local government with approximately 80% of Queensland Councils subscribing to LGOnline during the trial period,” Bell concluded.

“Interwoven is proud to be associated with this innovative local government initiative,” said Interwoven Managing Director, Richard Collins. “TeamSite is creating, managing and deploying content that will bring tremendous efficiency and improved customer service to all users. Its scalable, open architecture and foundation on open standards is ideal for this hugely diverse service.”

LGOnline will be officially launched at the Civic Leaders Summit by Federal Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts, the Hon. Daryl Williams AM QC MP and State Minister for Local Government, Planning, Sport and Recreation, Desley Boyle, and attended by Minister for State Development and Innovation, Tony McGrady, Queensland Council Mayors, CEOs and key local government stakeholders. The Launch will be held at 1.15pm at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane, on Wednesday June 2, 2004.
