ASX-listed ICT providers, IntraPower (ASX: IPX) and UXC Connect (ASX:UXC), have formed a partnership to focus on providing cloud computing services. This will be based on IntraPower’s Trusted Cloud computing platform.
IntraPower managing director and CEO, Greg Kennish, said the partnership would combine IntraPower’s technology, infrastructure and technical skills with UXC Connect’s project, IT and service management capabilities.
The partnership with UXC Connect follows IntraPower’s implementation of its Trusted Cloud solution on the FlexPod platform, which is a combination of technologies from Cisco, NetApp and VMware.
“This new platform can easily scale, be optimised for a variety of mixed application workloads, and be configured for virtual desktops or server infrastructure, in secure multi-tenancy environments,” Kennish said.
“Our Trusted Cloud solution has been operational in a broad range of companies for a number of years. Over this time we have developed the necessary systems, procedures and processes to ensure maximum security and now, with UXC Connect providing their project, IT and service management skills, we can further ensure maximum security and reliability during the on-boarding process and on an ongoing basis.”
As part of the partnership, UXC and IntraPower will work together on joint projects. This will also broaden IntraPower’s Trusted Cloud service reach into large enterprise organisations with more than 1000 staff, as well as the Government sector.
UXC Connect Managing Director, Paul Timmins, said the partnership created an opportunity for both organisations to increase their presence in providing cloud services.
