Passenger cruise ship, Rhapsody of the Sea, encountered a problem with its Mitel IP communications system on one of its recent voyages.
Mitel organised for a field technician, Haydn Francis from TTGroup, to get onboard to fix the issue.
TTGroup is a Mitel premierPartner.
Francis jumped on when the ship docked at Brisbane and within a few hours the problem was resolved.
He had previously worked for Mitel in Europe, and had configured the system for the Rhapsody of the Seas when it was constructed in 1997, before moving to Australia and joining TTGroup in Brisbane.
Guests on the 2400 capacity ship were undisturbed during the whole process as the Rhapsody of the Sea sailed from Brisbane to Cairns.
