As notebooks become slimmer, so too must their security cables. Kensington has just released its new Slim MicroSaver cable, with a trimmed-down lock and wire designed especially for slim notebook PCs. According to Kensington, nearly all notebook computers sold today include its security slot, while the cable features a patented T-bar design which allows users to secure their notebooks in either an office or home environment. Companies can also control equipment access using Kensington's custom-keyed options. The minimum order for the custom-keyed product is 50 units with additional units available in multiples of 25. Slim MicroSaver retails for $99 and is available from Quadtel Marketing Results, Ingram Micro and Try & Byte.
