ASG hires Carr for large customer expertise

Damien Carr returns to the IT industry after a one year sabbatical to help ASG with large customer deals

ASX-listed IT services provider, ASG Group, has appointed IT industry veteran Damien Carr to the position of client executive, customer engagement and deal structuring.

Carr returns to the IT Industry following a one-year sabbatical with his family. He will be based in Sydney.

He has more than two decades experience in the IT industry and was most recently at Oracle as the APAC head of global key accounts.

“This is an exciting time to be joining ASG; the Board and Executive Team are absolutely committed to business growth within Australia,” Carr said in a statement.

“Broadening ASG's solution and services portfolios and increasing the level of customer service and business value ASG deliver to Australian business and Government will be my focus.”

ASG general manager of sales and delivery, Murray Rosa, said Carr’s knowledge and experience in dealing with large complex customer engagements, provided him with an intimate understanding of what is required to further ASG's growth in the market.

The appointment comes on the back of ASG’s intentions to go after much larger contracts this year.

Previously, ASG focused on securing contracts up to the value of $100 million, but it has now increased its share to $100 to $500 million segment.
