Remora sticks to Splunk and takes off award

Melbourne-based system integrator will also look at utilities sector in 2011


Melbourne-based system integrator, Remora, is the 2010 Splunk Reseller of the Year for APAC.

The announcement was made at the 2011 Splunk Partner Kick-Off event in San Francisco.

Remora also won an innovation award for a screen-scraping detection solution developed using Splunk.

Remora CEO, Robert Silver, the company had an excellent team of engineers supporting our Splunk deployments, and it wass this expertise that has won these awards.

"We have been with Splunk now for 12 months and were also recently appointed Australia's first Premier Partner", Mr Silver said.

"Our team has successfully grown our customer base and revenue in 2010 and we are on track to at least double this during 2011."

Remora will also focus on the utilities sector this year and plans to release a number of Splunk-based applications to support smart metering, electricity distribution and retail.

Splunk is an IT data management company, offering a data engine. It collects, indexes and harnesses the fast moving IT data generated by a company’s IT systems and infrastructure - physical, virtual and in the cloud.
