Security provider, RSA, has appointed Andy Solterbeck as its new general manager for A/NZ.
He steps into the role following the departure of Mark Pullen in September last year.
Pullen has now joined Check Point Software Technologies as its client executive for strategic accounts.
Under Solterbeck’s direction, RSA plans to increase its focus on growing the business in the enterprise and mid markets, and part of this includes growing the team during the next few months. The vendor has already made 13 new hires this year.
Solterbeck previously held a range of management positions in the security industry, and was most recently the director of security services for Telstra’s Enterprise and Government division.
Prior to Telstra, Solterbeck was based in the US as the vice-president and CTO of the Enterprise Business Units of Safenet.
Solterbeck will report to APAC vice-president, Vincent Goh, and EMC A/NZ and South-East Asia president, David Webster.
