Cisco survivors put to the ultimate test

Then the hustle and bustle of reselling gets tough, the tough get going. Networking vendor Cisco Systems recently held a competition to reward its top-selling resellers and distributors, where the channel was offered a chance to relax at the Cairns International Resort for two nights.

Participants accrued points for Cisco products sold between July 1 and August 31. They also accrued bonus points by completing quick quizzes online.

But don't presume Cisco's channel partners were doing it too easy up there in Cairns. As well as two nights in the resort, the winning distributors and resellers were also given the opportunity to go bush at Goshen Station, the site of Survivor II: The Australian Outback.

Here the resellers thought none of switches and routers, only how to avoid those big gnarly rocks while mountain bike riding, how to avoid leeches and various other beloved Australian insects while hiking, how to navigate the wilderness while orienteering and how to stay in those damn canoes.
