Security vendor, Trend Micro, has added more incentives and rebates to its partner program.
The new features include deal registration rebates and discounts of up to 20 per cent for partners that register a new customer.
Trend Micro managing director, Dave Patnaik, said these enhancements stemmed from research it had conducted with about 40 of its top partners during a two month period.
“We asked our top partners what they found limiting about the program and what they liked about it. The partners were very engaged and gave us some solid feedback,” Patnaik said.
“We want to provide the right incentives and engine for our partners to be successful.”
For top partners, even if the deal was fulfilled by another partner, they’re still eligible to obtain a deal protection rebate of about 10 per cent.
A three per cent rebate is also up for grabs for partners that renew a customer’s Trend Micro license after two years. To help assist with a quicker turn around of rebates to partners, Trend also upgraded it backend process.
The security vendor has also created a business development organisation that involves a face-to-face sales team, inside sales team, channel and end-user marketing.
