Security and WAN optimisation vendor, Blue Coat Systems, has introduced its new Cloud Partner Program to coincide with the launch of its cloud service offering.
Blue Coat director of product marketing and cloud services, Joanne Vedati, said its partners play an integral role in delivering its cloud service to the market.
The subscription-based security service involves real-time Web protection and visibility into Web threats.
A team of Blue Coat personnel also continually add new defences to the service to help identify new and emerging malware.
The cloud service is currently undergoing beta trials, and is expected to be launched in March.
To help partners sell the cloud service, the vendor has also introduced a Cloud Partner Program that consists of two levels – Cloud-Ready and Managed Security Service Provider.
The Cloud-Ready component offers existing Blue Coat partners sales and technology training based on the cloud service.
Managed Security Service Provider provides partners with the ability to white label the Blue Coat Cloud Service and build additional offerings on top.
On top of this, partner benefits include recurring revenue, deal registration, as well as visibility into customer entitlements, trial status and renewals.
