Consulting and outsourcing provider, Capgamini, has beefed up its Public Sector division by adding two new senior staff to the team.
Melanie Kontze has joined Capgemini’s public sector vice-president and Peter Bell has assumed the role of business development manager in the division.
According to Capgemini, the two appointments strengthen the company’s Canberra team in the areas of professional software testing and shared services design.
Kontze was previously the regional director of SMS Management and Technology’s ACT and Federal Government division. She held the role for six years and has also been the regional manager for recruitment firm, Hudson.
Bell has two decades of experience in delivering ICT solutions to public sector organisations. He worked at Fujitsu prior to joining Capgemini. His resume also features roles at Kaz Group, a Telstra (ASX:TLS) IT services subsidiary started by industry veteran, Peter Kazacos, which was sold to Fujitsu for $200 million in March 2009. He has also worked at Sun Microsystems, the Australian Taxation Office, CSIRO and the Department of Public Prosecution.
