WhiteGold Solutions has crowned Paul Coupe as its first national product manager to come on-board in Sydney, looking after the Kaspersky product line.
It is the first of many moves that will see the distributor add new product managers, grow the team in each state and bring on new technologies, WhiteGold managing director, Dominic Whitehand, said.
“Our reach is going to dramatically increase this year. We don’t want to spread ourselves too thinly – so we’re strengthening the team in each region, bringing on product managers and engineers,” Whitehand said.
Coupe, who hails from Microbe Australia, where he was a Kaspersky business development manager for close to five years, will be responsible for evangelising the product through the channel as well as enhancing pre- and post-sales support services.
Whitehand said the rest of the WhiteGold team – particularly the business development managers - will be able to turn to Coupe for product specialisation and expertise with tenders.
“Paul is very well versed with the channel – with Kaspersky resellers – and has a strong technical and sales perspective.”
Coupe said he sees market opportunities for the Kaspersky product line in the SMB, enterprise and not-for-profit sector.
“There are new product releases in the Kaspersky range and we’re seeing more and more growth in the market,” Coupe said. “The Kaspersky reseller channel in Australia is very strong thanks to the easy product deployment and updates.”
Prior to Microbe, Coupe was the state manager for Grace Information Management, an electronic and document imaging company.
